WhatsApp Business App is a free tool but if you want to access a few extra features, you’d need to subscribe to the WhatsApp Business Premium, which is available in certain regions only. The extra features you get are:

  • A WhatsApp web page
  • Multi-agent support for up to 10 devices and chat assignment

You can try WhatsApp Business Premium for free for 30 days, and you must enter your payment data upon your free trial subscription. With your subscription, you get access to all of the premium tools. You cannot subscribe to the tools individually.

How to Subscribe to WhatsApp Premium

  • Open your WhatsApp Business App. Tap the three dots Three dots. in the top right corner.
  • Go to Settings. Tap Premium.
  • Tap START FREE TRIAL or SUBSCRIBE.
  • Enter your payment data. You can start using Premium immediately.

WhatsApp Webpage

A WhatsApp web page showcases information from your business profile and catalog on a webpage. It helps you build your online presence and allows your business to be easily found by search engines.

Your WhatsApp webpage is synced with your WhatsApp Business App profile and catalog; if you make changes to your profile or catalog, your webpage gets updated instantly.

How to create a WhatsApp web page

You can only create one webpage (one link address). Follow the steps below:

  • Open your WhatsApp Business App.
  • Go to Settings, followed by Premium and then Custom web page & link.
  • Tap Create and share web page, followed by GET STARTED, and enter your desired custom address link.
  • Tap CONTINUE.
  • Once your link is created, tap VIEW YOUR PAGE to see your page live on the web.
  • Your custom address link must:
    • Follow the WhatsApp Business Policy and Terms of Service.
    • Represent your business and not impersonate another business.
    • Contain between 5 and 35 alphanumeric characters.
    • Not be in all capital letters or all numbers. Capital letters in your link should reflect the capitalization in your business name.
    • Not contain special characters (for example: ~, !, -), emojis, or spaces.
    • Not contain keywords related to Meta platforms (for example, WhatsApp, Instagram).

If you share your link outside WhatsApp, the link will lead customers to your web page. If you share your link inside WhatsApp, the link will open a chat with you on WhatsApp. You can also print out a QR code for your link that people can scan and visit your website.

How to change or delete your WhatsApp web page

You can only change your link once every 90 days. If you delete your link or switch to the WhatsApp Messenger app, your web page will be removed from the web and your link will become available for others to claim.

  • Tap Three dots. and click Settings.
  • Tap Share icon. next to your business name.
  • Tap Three dots. and then tap Change link or Delete link.

Multi-agent

With WhatsApp Business Premium, you can connect up to 10 PCs to the same account, assign chats to agents and see which agent/device sent a message. Customers won’t be able to see which agent or device a message was sent from or who their chat was assigned to.

To link a device, follow the steps in Link and Unlink a Device to Your WhatsApp Business App Account.

Claim a Chat

  • Open a chat.
  • Tap Three dots. followed by Assign chat.
  • Select yourself or another agent. Tap SAVE.

Claim or assign multiple chats

  • In the Chats tab, tap and hold a chat you want to assign.
  • Tap the other chats you would like to assign.
  • Tap !Three dots.Three dots., followed by Assign chat.
  • Select yourself or another agent. Tap SAVE.

You can tap Magnifying glass icon. under the Chats tab and filter by Assigned to you to see the chats you’re responsible for.

See which agent sent a message

  • Open a chat.
  • Tap and hold a message.
  • Tap Information icon.
  • See which agent sent the message and the device used.

How to Manage your WhatsApp Business Premium Subscription

  • Tap Three dots. and then Settings, followed by Premium.
  • Tap Manage subscription, then MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION. You’ll be taken to the Google Play Store.
  • Under Active, tap WhatsApp Business.
  • Tap Update next to your Primary payment method and select or add a payment method.

For billing or payment issues, you must contact Google Play Store customer support. You can request a refund at Google Play Store.

How to Cancel your WhatsApp Business Premium Subscription

By deleting your WhatsApp Business App from your phone or switching to the WhatsApp Messenger app, your Business Premium subscription will NOT be canceled. To cancel your subscription follow the steps before:

  • Tap Three dots. and then Settings, followed by Premium.
  • Under Active, tap WhatsApp Business.
  • Tap Manage subscription, then MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION. You’ll be taken to the Google Play Store.
  • Tap Cancel subscription.

If you change your phone number, your subscription will continue as long as you’re still using the same Google account to pay.

What Happens After Canceling your Subscription?

Your WhatsApp page will remain live until 15 days after your billing cycle. 30 days after your billing cycle, your custom address link will become available for other businesses to claim.

If you have more than four linked devices, only your four most recently active devices will remain linked. The rest will get disconnected.
